One dead and wounded a woman Friday afternoon at Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Broadway. The incident unfolded Friday afternoon in the 300 block of Broadway. Both victims on Friday were taken to a hospital, where the man was pronounced dead, police said. The woman was in critical condition. They were shot in a parking lot.

Denver Police Division Chief Joe Montoya said that a witness pointed out the suspect to officers, who took the suspect into custody. Police are looking for a second person, a woman, in connection to the shooting. She left the scene in a silver Chrysler 200, a car that has damage to the left front panel, Montoya said. The car’s Colorado license plate is ALO-I76. Police believe they have the weapon used in the shooting.

“Gun violence is up,” Montoya said at a news conference near the scene. “It is really a sad time right now. There is so much violence going on.”
