Two people were killed in Bengaluru, around 3,000 houses flooded, and properties worth Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars were damaged in heavy rainfall that left the city in total chaos on Tuesday; knee-deep water and rising as the rain continuously pours down leaving vehicles partially submerged. Bengaluru witnessed about 114.6 mm of rainfall, and over 100 mm was received in less than 12 hours. This is what led to the death of the two workers inside a Cauvery water pipeline in Ullal Area. They were part of a team carrying out welding working on the drinking water pipelines of Cauvery.
