Prince Harry will make a historic appearance in court tomorrow as he testifies in his lawsuit against Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN), which he accuses of phone hacking and other unlawful activities.
The Duke of Sussex is one of four test cases representing more than 100 claimants who allege that MGN journalists or private investigators obtained private information by illicit means between 1991 and 2011.
Harry claims that 140 articles published by MGN titles contained information gathered using illegal methods, and 33 of those articles will be examined at the trial.
The prince will face cross-examination from MGN’s lawyers, who deny senior figures were aware of any wrongdoing and argue that some of the claims are too late.
This will be the first time a British royal has taken the stand in court since the 1890s.
