A tragic incident occurred on the Caribbean island of Tobago, where a British man lost his life while visiting a waterfall.
The man had travelled to Tobago to attend the funeral of his aunt and her husband, who had died in an accident earlier this month.
According to local reports, the man was swimming at the Argyle Waterfall when he got into difficulties and drowned.
His body was recovered by emergency services and taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The British High Commission in Trinidad and Tobago has been informed of the incident and is providing consular assistance to the man’s family.
