CALIFORNIA: A man was fatally shot while standing in a driveway of a Hollywood Hills West home early Wednesday morning, Los Angeles police said.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on Fareholm Drive near the 7800 block, a police spokesperson said.

The man, who was in his mid-30s to early 40s, had multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene, according to the spokesperson.

Police said the man was talking to another person in the driveway when the person pulled out a gun and shot him.

The shooter then got into a vehicle and drove away. The vehicle and the shooter have not been found yet, the spokesperson said.

The motive and the connection between the shooter and the victim are still under investigation.
