In a recent message to the families of Rincon Valley Middle School, Superintendent Anna Trunnell confirmed that several students used their school accounts to create a Google Slides presentation filled with hateful and racist content, including threats to another student.

The presentation was shared with a group of teachers in March, triggering a district and police investigation.

Trunnell said that the district was able to identify the students involved and the extent of their participation, and that they would face appropriate disciplinary actions.

She also said that the district was committed to helping the students learn from their mistakes and foster a culture of respect and inclusion.

She urged the parents and the community to refrain from spreading rumors or engaging in social media discussions that could harm the students’ privacy and dignity.

She thanked the teachers and staff for their professionalism and dedication in handling this difficult situation.
