With 53 consecutive victories, 29 of them without allowing a single run, and a dominant performance in the WCWS finals, Oklahoma softball has once again claimed the national championship.

The Sooners swept Florida State in two games, extending their NCAA-record winning streak and becoming only the second team to win three straight NCAA Division I softball titles.

Oklahoma’s offense was powered by home runs from Cydney Sanders and Grace Lyons, while their pitching staff shut down the Seminoles’ bats with Alex Storako and Jordy Bahl combining for 10 strikeouts. Oklahoma softball has cemented its place as one of the most successful programs in college sports history, and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
