In a strongly worded statement, French President Emmanuel Macron urged Iran to “immediately end” its support to Russia in the ongoing war against Ukraine.

Macron said that Iran’s involvement in the conflict was “unacceptable” and “dangerous” for regional stability and international security.

He called on Iran to respect its commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal and to refrain from any actions that could escalate the situation.

Macron also reaffirmed France’s solidarity with Ukraine and its readiness to provide humanitarian and diplomatic assistance.
