One of the most iconic players in Bengals history, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, will be joining the celebrity softball game hosted by linebacker Logan Wilson at Day Air Ballpark on Wednesday.

The game is a fun way for the 2022 AFC Champions to bond before they head to training camp and prepare for another successful season. Johnson, who legally changed his name from Chad Johnson to Chad Ochocinco in 2008, is known for his flamboyant personality and his impressive skills on the field.

He played for the Bengals from 2001 to 2010 and holds several franchise records, including most career receiving yards, most career receptions, and most seasons with 1,000 receiving yards.

He will be playing alongside current and former Bengals stars, such as head coach Zac Taylor, defensive end Sam Hubbard, and linebacker Germaine Pratt.

The game will also support a noble cause: “The Brooks Joshua Anderson Foundation,” a foundation that raises awareness and funds for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome research and scholarships. Wilson has been involved with the foundation since he lost his nephew Brooks to SIDS in 2019.

The event will start with a home run derby at 6 p.m., followed by the celebrity softball game at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are still available for fans who want to see their favorite Bengals players in action and contribute to a worthy cause.
