Fort Worth Police Department revealed the sting operation and showed mugshots on Friday. They worked with other agencies to make the arrests in three days.
Police say that Daniel Alford, 42, of Fort Worth is a registered sex offender who came to a place thinking he would have sex with a 15-year-old.
Lyle Campbell-Gergen, 34, of North Richland Hills also reportedly thought he was meeting a 15-year-old girl, as well as Aaurje Henderson, 19, of Bedford and Kautik Patel, 33, of Cleburne.
Joshua Whitfield, 24, Jimmy Johns, 52, and Kristofer Kane, 23, are accused of thinking they would have sex with a 16-year-old girl. Whitfield and Johns live in Fort Worth, while Kane lives in Richmond Hills.
Joshua Blackmon, 24, of Aubrey is accused of trying to have sex with a 16-year-old. Jonathan Bailey, 26, of Garland and Christopher Upton, 29, of Fort Worth are accused of the same crime.
“This release aims to tell the public how many people were arrested for trying to lure underage kids online and the penalties for these actions,” the Fort Worth Police Department said
