A shooting attack in the northern West Bank wounded five Israelis, four of them military personnel, on Tuesday (June 13), according to officials.
The Palestinian media reports that the Israeli forces are looking for the suspect in Ya’abad, a Palestinian town near the attack site. The IDF also blocked off some roads near the village and said they are searching the area.
A suspected shooter wounded a civilian in his 30s near Mevo Dotan in the northern West Bank, then drove further and shot at a military vehicle, Israeli media reports said, citing officials.
The civilian drove to the Reihan Crossing for initial treatment and was then taken to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, The Jerusalem Post reported. Four soldiers were also wounded and treated at the scene, then one was flown to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer and the others were taken to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center.
The hospital in Hadera said it was treating four Israelis, one in moderate condition and three in good condition. A fifth victim was airlifted to Rambam Hospital and was also in moderate condition, according to Israeli medics.
The attack wounded many and occurred near the intersection where 32-year-old Meir Tamari was killed by Palestinians about two weeks ago, outside the settlement of Hermesh, said Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan.
