Fans of US rapper Tyga are in for a treat as he is set to perform in Kuala Lumpur this August as part of his Asia tour. The concert, which will be held at the KL Convention Centre on August 15, will mark his first appearance in Malaysia.
Tyga, whose real name is Micheal Ray Stevenson, is known for his hit songs such as “Rack City”, “Taste”, “Ayo” and “Dip”. He has collaborated with other popular artists such as Drake, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown. He has also won several awards, including an American Music Award and a BET Award.
The first round of tickets for the concert, which went on sale on July 1, sold out in an hour, according to the organizer, Live Nation Malaysia. The tickets ranged from RM188 to RM588, depending on the seating category. The second round of tickets will be released on July 15 at 10 a.m. via TicketCharge.
Live Nation Malaysia said that they are expecting a high demand for the second round of tickets and advised fans to purchase them as soon as possible. They also reminded fans to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the concert, such as wearing masks, scanning the MySejahtera app and maintaining physical distancing.
Tyga’s concert in KL is part of his Asia tour, which will also include stops in Singapore, Bangkok, Manila and Jakarta. He last performed in Asia in 2018, when he visited Hong Kong, Taipei and Seoul.
