Tulsa Police Department found a 4-year-old boy along with two puppies after responding to a call where a citizen had found a child wandering down the street near 200 North Garnett just after midnight.

Officers canvassed the area around where the child was found and knocked on every single door they could find.

While they saturated the area, the boy’s mother came home and they were able to initiate contact with her. The mother had gone out and left the child with relatives. After being dropped off, the child decided to take the puppies and wander off.

DHS got involved as there were some issues discovered at the mother’s home causing concern for the future well-being of the child.

The child and siblings were temporarily placed with other family members while DHS investigates further.
