The Nigerian Army has announced the death of its Brigadier General, Audu James, who was killed by a motorist in Lagos.
James was said to have died from injuries sustained after the tragic incident on Tuesday evening.
Until his death, James was the monitor general of the National Institute for policy and strategic studies, Kuru, Plateau state.
Kayode Olagunju, welfare officer of the Senior Executive Course (SEC) 40, in a statement on Wednesday, said the death of James is sad.
“Sad news. We lost a gem. Our indefatigable, humble, friendly bridge builder, the Monitor General SEC 40 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Brig Gen Audu Ogbole James (mni) just departed,” the statement reads.
“He died from injuries sustained from a knockdown on the road yesterday (15/11/22) evening in Lagos. May his soul rest in peace. Our condolences to the family, AANI especially the SEC 40.
“May the Lord console all and grant the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. So sad.”
Security operatives have been targets of terrorists in the last few months.
